Our client built a natural straw-bale house and finished it with a home-made clay and lime based paint, but had issues with lime dusting off the walls when it was touched. We used methyl-cellulose, a plant based gum that dries clear, to seal in the original paint work without compromising the natural ethos of the house. We also used Natural Paint Co in rooms where a colour change was wanted.
